Basics
Physical Description: Sookie is a natural sun died blonde with blue eyes. She has long legs and tanned skin as well as a substantial bust and a perfectly tapered waste. She has a southern bell charm to her with a strongly defined chin and high cheek bones. She has a small endearingly quirky gap between her two front teeth and a deep cupids bow leading way to her full light pink lips. She has no facial scars but does have a small burn on her wrist from touching a burner when she was younger. She enjoys wearing casual summery clothes like dresses and skirts but she can usually be found in a Merlottes uniform consisting of a fitted white shirt with the Merlottes logo, black shorts, and white socks and sneakers, although occasionally she does like to dress up. Sookie wears traditional makeup and usually prefers her hair up unless she is working in which case she keeps it in a tight ponytail.
Personality: Sookie is a sweet and slightly naive young women but she can also be feisty and fiery tempered. She is liberal and open minded although she is not very worldly. She wants to be a normal down home country girl but her ability makes it hard to fit in. Sookie is not well educated but has a wide vocabulary thanks to her affinity for 'word of the day' calendars. She has a good set of morals and tries to be a good Christian. Sookie speaks her mind and tends to be very strong willed. She is also compassionate, hygienic, intriguing, and quick tempered.

The Past
Character’s Role in the story: Sookie Stackhouse is a small town Louisiana girl working as a waitress in the local bar, Merlottes. She is also a telepath. Her first love was Bill Compton a former resident of her home town and a vampire. Sookie lived with her grandmother for most of her life until one day she comes home to find her slaughtered on the floor. Sookie is pulled in many different ways by the men in her life, Eric, Alcide, Bill, and Sam. She was a virgin until a few days after her grandmother’s death when she slept with Bill. She would have stayed with Bill if she had not found out about his reasons for coming to Bon Tompe. Later on she has relations with Eric Northman during a period that he lost his memory but after he regained his memory and lost the time that they had shared together she thought it better to let him go to his old life. That is until he remembers their time together.
History: Sookie Stackhouse was born in 1982. Her parents were Corbett and Michelle Stackhouse. She has an older brother named Jason, who was three years older than her. When Sookie was quite young, she realized she had the ability to hear the thoughts of people around her. Her parents were worried for her and wanted to check out her mental health. All the doctors were confused by her abilities and they had no idea how to cure her telepathy. Her parents decided to ignore her ability to avoid any further repercussions, like admitting her into a mental hospital. When Sookie was only 7, her parents were killed in a flash food. She and Jason were left in the care of their grandparents, Earl and Adele Stackhouse. Her life was quite good with her grandparents, but she was quite terrified of her great-uncle. He had molested her great deal and she could hear is horrid thoughts. She hid from him when she could and finally admitted to her grandmother what he had done. Adele was horrified and sent him out of their lives. It was also found out that Bartlett, Sookie’s great-uncle, had molested her aunt, Linda Stackhouse too.
Life in school was quite difficult for Sookie. She was able to hear everyone’s thoughts and was most uncomfortable in relationships. She was unable to concentrate in school and the teachers thought she was incapable of learning. Many of her peers were wary of her and stayed away. She had a very lonely life growing up and could not have relationships because she could hear the men’s ulterior motives. The only friend she had was Tara Thornton. These two were drawn together because of their situations. Tara had an alcoholic mother and in her rages, Tara would come over to Sookie’s house. Sookie had a sad and lonely life for most of her childhood and young adulthood. The only comfort she really had was her grandparents and her friend, Tara.

RP Sample: Sookie looked into the mirror above her bathroom sink; the bolts that kept it firmly on the wall had started to rust. It seemed that everything in the antebellum home was falling apart although their wasn’t much left of the original structure left after being refurnished and renovated more times then she could count. One of the only original features remaining was the tin roof which became unbearably hot in the summer months. The mirror was just another thing she put on her mental checklist o things she had to take care of along with re-graveling the driveway and getting the back screen door lock fixed.
Sookie had switched shifts with Arlene so that she could go on a date with Renee, It worked out fine for Sookie she preferred to work during the day anyway. The dinner rush in Merlottes tended to be of the drunkard variety, and when people were under the influence it was as if they were broadcasting their thoughts on loud speaker to the world or at least to Sookie anyway. After brushing her teeth and pulling her hair into a tight pony tail Sookie made her way from the bathroom to her connected bedroom. She pulled together her usual uniform a white fitted t-shirt with the Merlottes logo over her heart, a pair of black shorts that hugged her like a second skin, and a pair of white socks and tennis shoes. Studying the finished product in her full length mirror she put on a bright smile and grabbed her black leather bag and keys that she had laid out on the bed. Time to get to work.
