Basics
Physical Description: Eric Northman is a tall individual. He stands at about six foot five inches tall, and is covered in well toned muscle. He has wide shoulders and narrow hips. His muscled are well defined, and when he wishes to show them he makes all of the women drool. He is a fan of dark clothes. He tends to wear a black leather jacket when he goes out, though it is not needed. He also wears black t-shirts and jeans unless the situation calls for something else. He has short blonde hair that is bleached to make it look lighter.
Personality: Eric has a cool and calculating personality. He doesn't like be told that he is wrong about something, and he is willing to take what he wants. He is willing to forget a human's trespasses against him unless they were too bad. He is loyal to his maker, and he will always be loyal to his progeny, Pam. He has a great ability for compassion, but he keeps that hidden to protect him and the people he shows affection for. Eric rarely loses his temper, and he is more in control of his emotions that his other vampire counterparts.
Powers: Eric has the normal vampire powers. Strength, Speed, Cunning, Fangs, and beauty. He also has the ability to fly. Flying is faster than a car, and he uses it for transportation when he doesn't feel like driving.
The Past
Character’s Role in the story: Eric is the sheriff of Area 5, Owner of Fangtasia, is responsible for the vampires of his area, is under Queen Sophie Ann until she dies, and ends up being under the King of Nevada. He plays the leader that always calls on Sookie, even when she doesn't want to do anything for him, and uses Bill, while she is dating him, as bait. He exchanges blood with Sookie enough times to cause a bond to form between them and he finds that it is helpful for more than just locating her. He ends up making decisions that he thinks are best, and could be thought of as the one who keeps things under his control. He also became Sookie's lover while he lost his memory, and she said that they had the best sex ever.
History: Eric Northman was born around 900 AD and he was raised as a viking warrior. He lived near the north sea, and is assumed to be of nordic descent. After his brother died in battle his brother's wife became his and they had six children. He loved his wife, and he was doing what he thought was for the bettering of the tribe. Only three of them were living at the time of his turning. His wife and youngest child died of a fever shortly after the birth of the child. His turning was done when a roman vampire named Appius Livius Ocella. (In the show it is said that Eric never takes a wife, and he enjoys single life. One night while having sex with a servant a werewolf came. The wolf killed his mother and sister. His father's crown was taken as well. He later was turned by Godric on a raid, and then invaded the Nazi army during operation werewolf. It was there that they found out the weres were working for a vampire. Russell Edgington) Much of his history is hidden deep inside and all that is known between his turning and meeting Sookie is that he created Pam during the Victorian era so that he wouldn't get lonely. He drained Pam as she was walking home from a guys house, and when he was done draining her and giving her his blood he took her back to her house. He dug her up after the funeral to save her the trouble of digging herself out of the grave alone.

RP Sample: Eric Northman, Sheriff of Area 5 in Louisiana, reduced to sitting in a chair at Fangtasia showing himself for what he was just to appease the simple humans. He looked around the club with little to no interest in the humans here. He wondered what Sookie was doing, and it bothered him that he couldn't remember the time that he spent with her. He knew from her that they had sex a few times and he had said that she was the best, but he hated having to be told what he did when he alone couldn't remember. Pam was looking at him weird because she knew that he didn't like not knowing what went on when he had no memory. He decided that he should put it out of his mind and he would deal with it when he had a chance to talk to Sookie.
He sat in the high back wooden chair and he looked at the pitiful humans that wanted to die, and the other vampires there waiting for a bite to eat. He paid his due by being here for the humans to view him and for them to try to get his notice. He didn't want to be out here, quite frankly he would much rather be with Sookie, but alas he did this so that he wasn't seen as an unfair ruler. He didn't want a revolt on his hands for the Sheriff of Area 5,
